Oyo state command of the Nigeria Police force has confirmed the arrest of a popular radio presenter, Mr Oriyomi Hamzat over an alleged murder.
The command’s public relation officer. SP Adekunle Ajisebutu who confirmed a case of suspected murder said investigation was on going to get to the root of the matter
Ajisebutu gave assurance that the suspect would be prosecuted as soon as the investigation was concluded.
Hamzat who is currently at the state CID in Iyaganku was said to have been detained by the Agugu police station where he had gone to plea for his boys who were arrested with the dead body of a boy in his car
It was gathered that some of the people working for him had earlier jumped a police checkpoint in a suspicious manner, a situation which prompted the police to trail the vehicle before they were caught with a wrapped dead body of a 17 year old boy known as John
” if he vehicle did not develop a fault Hamsat they could have escaped with wrapped dead body “the source said.
The decreased John was said to be an orphan being raised by Hamsat in his unregistered orphanage home,
The source informed further that Oriyomi Hamsat who surfaced the following morning to meet with the DPO to plea for the boys was detained and later transferred to state CID for further investigation.
