
Members of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA) have begun arriving in Ibadan for the association’s 50th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and anniversary celebrations, with stakeholders expressing optimism about a successful and memorable gathering.
Welcoming delegates to the ancient city at a dinner hosted by the NANTA Western Zone at the National Museum of Unity, the Deputy National President, Dr. Tokunbo Dagunduro and Vice President Western Zone Prince Ajibade Olaleye assuring participants of a warm reception and an enriching experience throughout the event.
In the same vein, the National Public Relations Officer of the association, Mrs. Adewole, announced the presence of members of the Board of Trustees (BOT), National Executives Council, and other key leaders and stakeholders of the association.
Speaking ahead of the AGM, the National President, Mr. Yinka Folami, described Ibadan as the “City of Firsts,” noting its rich historical significance and suitability as host for the golden jubilee celebration.

The four-day event, marking NANTA’s 50th anniversary, is packed with activities aimed at promoting tourism, networking, and professional development within the travel industry.
Activities commenced on Tuesday, April 14, with a Welcome Night held at the NANTA Western Zone Secretariat.
On Wednesday, April 15, participants are scheduled for a city tour of Ile-Ife and Ibadan, departing from the Jogor Centre car park at 7:00 a.m.
The third day, Thursday, April 16, will feature an exhibition and conference at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Proceedings will continue on Friday, April 17, with a morning session dedicated to exhibitions, conference activities, and elections at the same venue.
The AGM will climax later that day with a grand Gala Night at Jogor Centre, where members and guests are expected to celebrate the association’s achievements over the past five decades.
The 50th AGM is anticipated to attract key players in Nigeria’s travel and tourism sector, further positioning Ibadan as a hub for major national events.
