Oyo 2019: ADC Takes Campaign to Idi Arere, Beere, Oje Others As Lanlehin Promises Improved Security

The historical city of Ibadan was agog on Tuesday as the candidates of African Democratic Congress ADC led by its gubernatorial candidate Senate Olufemi Lanlehim continued their campaign rally with a road show around major areas of the city.

The movement which started at Oke Bola in Ibadan passes through. Oke Ado, Molete, Idi Arere Gate Beere Oje and others where he addressed market women, artisans and others .

At the rally, Sen Olufemi Lanlehin who gave an insight into how he intends to bring smiles to the face of Oyo State suffering masses immediately he is sworn in as the Executive Governor of Oyo State said he is poised to take the state to a greater height.

The Director of Public Communication, New Media and Tertiary Institutions of Senator Olufemi Lanlehin Campaign Organization, Engr Akeem Olatunji,in statement maintained that Sen Lanlehin’s integrity, antecedents and his passion to effect positive changes in Oyo state is the driving force.

He said Lanlehin like his father a close associates of Late Obafemi Awolowo beliefs in core progressives ideology which relefcted in his manifesto and plans for the people of the state.

At Idi Arere, Lanlehin condones with the victims of the last saturday attack by hoodlums and promise to provide adequate and effective security of lives and properties once he is elected as the governor of the state.

He also challenge the gubernatorial candidate of APC who also double as the Chairman of Oyo State security fund raising committee, Bayo Adelabu, to come out clean on his role in the disbursement of fund in relation to the deplorable security situation of the state.

The ADC gubernatorial candidate, also promised to put Oje market on the world map by making it attractive for international business community to patronize the traditional wares and accessories and other items.

Speaking on the location of Gate Spare Part Market, Lanlehin accused the APC led government of clandestine plan to allocate the age long market’s land to top members of the ruling party without considering the biting poverty amongst residents of Oyo State and economic crisis it may cause.

He however advise the traders in Gate Spare Part Market to bear their present predicament as he is poised to wipe out their tears once elected. and promised to make available Good road, toilets, portable water and health facilities and revolving loans for the traders within one year of his administration.

While debunking the rumour of crisis in the ADC,  Senator Lanlehin  said ” there is no crisis in the party, our interest in serving the people is not personal, its about the people and development of our state, so we  are together  for a common goal and those who did not share our visions have left us while those who share our ideology are joining us on daily basis and our members across the state are mobilizing greatly for the party to win gubernatorial and assembly seats in the next election”

Senator Monsurat Sumonu

Senator Adesoji Akanbi, Senatorial candidate for Oyo South and Senator Monsurat Sumonu of Oyo Central and other National and state Assembly at the rally promised to work with the state government to effect positive changes and development in the state

The candidates who boasts of electoral victory in Febraury claims that the majority of them left APC because the leadership of the party in the state has lost focus, vision for transformation and making the people of the state to be happy which was the basis for teaming up with them at the begining.

The Director General of Senator Lanlein Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Architect Bashiru Lawal, in his own speech emphasized the determination of Sen Lanlehin administration from May 29th ensure that all abandoned projects are completed and the issue of diversification is given prompt attention so that Oyo State will no longer be relying on federal allocation for her survival
