Former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose on Monday presented Peoples Democratic Party PDP flag to Engineer Oluseyi Makinde the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state.
Fayose who alongside Seyi Makinde and others visited the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr Oladunni Oyewunmi,
Ajagungbade III was one of the party top notchers that attended the flagging of Makinde’s gubernatorial campaign held at Oja Igbo Ogbomoso
Makinde while addressing the gathering said he is ready run a government that will make life bearable and meaningful for the people of the state.
He disclosed that PDP government will not betray the confidence reposed in them by the electorates but emplace policies and programms that will take them away from the hard period of the APC.
He said further that the ogbomoso born former governor Otunba Alao Akala did well during his tenure as governor but he will surpass his record of achievements if elected
While addressing students of Ladoke Akintola University, (LAUTECH),Makinde promised to scrap school fees in secondary school in the state if elected.
He said his first budget if given the mandate would allocate ten percent to the education sector and subsequently increased it with a view to meeting the UNESCO standards.
The Governorship candidates who noted that the state generate over one billion naira from the three thousand charges on the students annually promised to remove the burden from parents if voted for.
Makinde who reiterated that education played significant role in the development of a nation said his government would review the school fees of LAUTECH to assist parents.
“we will review in an open and transparent manner the issue of the school fees .And I believe that school fees can go down
