The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Hon. In a statement made available to journalists, Olatunji urged citizens who have attained voting age, as well as those seeking voter transfer, replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), or correction of personal details, to complete the process before the registration window closes.

He described voter registration as a fundamental civic responsibility and an essential component of democratic participation, stressing that citizens must actively engage in the electoral process to shape the future of Oyo State and the country.

The ADP governorship candidate also appealed to community leaders, youth groups, women associations, market unions, religious organisations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders to intensify awareness campaigns and mobilise residents to register.

According to him, the PVC remains one of the most powerful instruments available to citizens, enabling them to exercise their constitutional right to vote and influence leadership decisions and public policies.

Olatunji noted that sustainable development in critical sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, youth empowerment, and economic growth depends largely on the active participation of citizens in governance through elections.

He cautioned residents against waiting until the last minute to register, urging them to obtain their PVCs and encourage others to do the same.

The governorship hopeful maintained that no eligible voter in Oyo State should be excluded from the registration exercise, adding that broad participation would contribute significantly to the state’s development and democratic progress.

He further encouraged residents to register, mobilise others, and prepare to make their votes count in future elections.
