Dr. Kunle Samson Adegbite, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Representatives candidate for Ogbomoso North, South and Oriire Federal Constituency, has donated ₦2 million to support the 49th Annual Conference of the Ogbomoso Baptist Conference.
The conference, themed “Entering into Newness Through Building a Righteous and Prosperous Nation,” brought together church leaders, ministers, delegates and members of the Baptist community for spiritual reflection, fellowship and discussions on nation-building.
Adegbite who was reprensted by his campaign Director-General, Rotn. Surv. Oladepo John Oladejo, alongside members of his campaign team, expressed warm regards to the leadership, ministers and delegates.
Speaking through his representatives, Adegbite said his donation was made in support of the work of God, the growth of the Church and the success of the conference.
He noted that supporting religious institutions should go beyond financial contributions, stressing that the development of a righteous and prosperous society requires strong moral values, faith, unity, responsible leadership and genuine service to humanity.
According to him, religious institutions have a crucial role to play in shaping responsible citizens, promoting peace and strengthening communities.
Adegbite commended the leadership of the Ogbomoso Baptist Conference for its commitment to the spiritual development of the people and its contributions to peace, unity and progress in Ogbomoso.
He expressed hope that the conference would bring renewed strength, deeper faith and greater impact to the Church and the wider society.
He urged Nigerians to continue working collectively towards building a nation anchored on righteousness, prosperity, unity and responsible leadership
