The police said the case was reported by Daniel Moses, another son of the deceased and brother to the suspect, prompting detectives to commence an investigation.

“Acting swiftly on the report, police operatives apprehended the suspect and took him into custody for questioning,” the statement said.

The remains of the deceased have been deposited in a mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

The police disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
