The Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Governor Yahaya Bello to immediately proceed on fourteen days self-isolation.
The party in a statement signed by the state publicity secretary, Bode Ogunmola and issued in Lokoja, said that standard Covid-19 protocol demands that having attended the burial of the late Kogi State Chief Judge (CJ), Justice Nasir Ajanah, the governor who always insisted on the procedure to so do.
The PDP said that having played hide and seek for too long, the government should begin massive Covid-19 testing of the residents, being now clear that the state is not free from the Coronavirus pandemic.
It lamented that while the Covid-19 pandemic has afforded other states an upgrade in health facilities, it is the same in Kogi.
It urged the residents of the state to make safety precautions very necessary, insisting that the Covid-19 is real.
