Police Recovers 16 Motorcycles from 3 Suspected Armed Robbers

The Oyo state Police command has arrested the total of three (3) suspected criminals in Ibadan, Oyo state capital over armed robbery cases.

The Oyo state Police commissioner, CP. Chuks Enwonwu who made this known while addressing newsmen during a press briefing organized to parade criminals at the State Force Headquarter, Eleyele, Ibadan.

The command maintained that Oluwalana Joseph, 21, Aliu Sulaiman, 23, also known as ‘Eva’ and Adepoju Emmanuel, 21, was arrested for disguising as passengers to attack one Mr. Anuoluwapo Bashir, a motorcyclist in Ayegoro area of Iyana Church, Ibadan and hijacked his Bajaj Motorcycle with Reg. No BDJ 964 UH.

The aforementioned suspects have therefore confessed to the crime and other various high profile robbery cases in Oyo state and Sixteen (16) Bajaj motorcycles have been recovered from them.

The Police Commissioner, Enwonwu further noted that the state Command has embarked on an aggressive and sustainable community policing strategy in collaboration with community leaders and various department of the police to constantly get rid of crime and criminality in areas prone to crime in Ibadan and Oyo state entirely.
