COVID-19 Cases Now 5,959 in Nigeria, As President Buhari Set to Address Nation on Monday

338 new cases od coronaviruscases have been recorded on Sunday 17th May 2020

This bring the total number of cases to 5,959

According to Nigeria Centre for Disease control NCDC, 177 cases was recorded in  Lagos 64 in Kano and 21 in FCT

Others includes: 16 cases in Rivers14 in Plateau, 11 in  Oyo 9 in Katsina 4 in jigawa, 4 in  Kaduna, 3 in Abia 3in Bauchi, 3 in Borno, 2 in Gombe 2in Akwa Ibom ,2in Delta 1, in Ondo, 1in Kebbi and 1 in Sokoto.

1594 patients have been discharged after testing negative two times while
182 deaths have been recorded so far 

Meanwhile President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday 18th May, 2020 address the nation in a broadcast as the first phase of the gradual easing of the lockdown comes to an end.

Aliyu Sani, national coordinator of the presidential task force on COVID-19 disclosed this when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.

He said Buhari will in the broadcast announce to Nigerians whether or not the country would go ahead with the second phase of the easing of the lockdown.

Also Oyo state Government have concluded plans to test over 100 staff members of the company where 30 cases were recorded  on Saturday
