One the Chief Tourism promoter and advocate in Nigeria , Amb Wale Ojo Lanre has been honoured with an award for his commitment towards the growth and advancement of tourism in the country and the world at large.
Ojo Lanre, a Senior Special Assistant to the former Governor of Ekiti state Dr Kayode fayemi was Honoured with Tourism Champion by Origo Award in Canada.
The former Tourism and Hospitality editor in Nigerian Tribune Newspaper who presented papers to the Senate on NIHOTOUR and NTDC Bill was honoured for his unrelenting promotion of tourism in Nigeria.
As tourism journalist in Nigeria, Ojo Lanre has been consistent in his call for the creation of separate Tourism Ministry by state and federal government for over a decades now.
Ojo Lanre while speaking on the award said “special thanks to ORIGO Awards Canada for the recognition, God bless Ayo Omotosho, President, of the Association of Travel and Tourism Writers of Nigeria, ATTWON, and. CEO, of Travelogue Magazine who received the Award on my behalf.
