Adanla’s Afia Homes and Properties has achieved a significant milestone, being crowned the Biggest Indigenous Real Estate Developer of the Year 2026 at the 11th City People Real Estate Awards.

The prestigious event, hosted by City People magazine, took place on March 29, 2026, at the Etal Events Centre in Lagos.

Engr. Abduljelyl Adekunle Karheem MCIARB, MCIOB, MCABE, Mogaji Adanla, Chairman and CEO of Afia Group, dedicated this remarkable achievement to HIM Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the Olubadan of Ibadan Land.

Mogaji Adanla revealed that Oba Ladoja inspired the Afia dream eight years ago, encouraging him to return from London to establish the company in Ibadan.

Afia Homes and Properties is celebrated for its innovative projects and contributions to Nigeria’s housing sector, known for creating serene and secure residential communities.

Their portfolio includes Afia Court, Afia Apartment both at Chief Lateef Oyelade GRA, Ring Road; Mandamis Luxury by Afia, Iyaganku GRA; Magdalen’s Court by Afia, Agodi GRA; and The Crest by Afia, Agodi GRA.

Mogaji Adanla, who doubles as theTuraki Adini of Oyo State; Wakil Faido Tijaniyyah of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta states; and the Giwa Adini of Offa (Kwara State), was accompanied by a distinguished entourage including HRM Oba Dr. Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Oyedepo III, the Okere of Saki.

In addition to his company’s triumph, Mogaji Adanla also accepted a special award on behalf of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, recognizing him as The Most Real Estate Friendly Governor of the Year.

Afia Homes and Properties is known for creating serene and secure residential communities that prioritize comfort, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.

The company has also partnered with Stanbic IBTC Bank to enhance homeownership accessibility in Ibadan and Oyo State.

This strategic collaboration aims to revolutionize homeownership accessibility for residents of Ibadan and Oyo State by reducing down payment requirements to just 10% to 20% of the property value upfront, with Stanbic IBTC Bank providing the remaining mortgage funds. Flexible repayment plans extend up to 20 years for Nigerian residents and 15 years for Nigerians in the diaspora.
