A former Deputy Senate Chief Whip, Senator Hosea Ayoola Agboola (Halleluyah) has been described as a great political asset to Oyo State, particularly the Oke-Ogun zone area of the state.
An aspirant for the seat of Saki West State constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Sikiru Isiaka Olawale Ikuogbogun, made this observation on Sunday.
Hon. Isiaka Ikuogbogun maintained that Senator Agboola is a major political leader who has solid political structures across all ten local government areas of Oke-Ogun and across Oyo State.
The House of Assembly aspirant is a son of Late Alhaji Sikiru Ikuogbogun, a former Youth Leader of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) in Saki, former Councillor in the old Ifedapo Local Government, and a former Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Saki West Local Government, former Supervisor for Agriculture Saki West Local Government, and until his death, Chairman of PDP Elders Forum in Saki West Local Government.
He described Senator Agboola as a major political pillar, a unifier, and a grassroots mobilizer, who is known for playing politics of development.
Hon. Isiaka Ikuogbogun disclosed that after several calls by his constituents for him to contest the 2027 election based on his antecedents, he is currently consulting with his political associates.
He, however, expressed his readiness to give the people of Saki West good representation and bring governance closer to them, if elected into the Oyo Assembly.
His words: “I am indeed humbled by the confidence reposed in me by my people, and I assure them that I am ready to serve. I have always been passionate about bringing governance closer to the people, and I believe that my experience and track record speak for themselves.
“If given the opportunity, I promise to work tirelessly to address the needs of our community. My vision for Saki West State constituency is one of inclusiveness, progress, and prosperity.”
The son of the late prominent Saki politician maintained that his experience in administration and community service will be used to give people of Saki West quality representation in the Oyo Assembly, if given the opportunity.
