Radio and Television Workers Unions BCOS chapter have said that the allegations of corrupt practices and otheres leveled again the BCOS management is false
The Chairman of the association Alhaji Kola Carew who spoke on behalf of the the unions told journalists in Ibadan that there has never been any forum when such was moved
Carew said the only issue we have with the management is in the deduction of corporative from the salary which is about four month now and we are already discussing with them on how to generate more money so that there won’t be shortfall
The Chief Executive officer of the broadcasting station Price Dotun Oyelade in his reaction explained that the false claim is a plot to embarrassed the management .
On allegation of contract Inflation, Oyelade said , “any contracts that we do here goes through due process of the government so if anyone is saying we inflate contract such person is not only inducting us but the entire government.
” We ordinarily would not have responded to the false allegations made to the extent that the staff union have defended us reasons being that we engaged the union members we opened the books to the union leaders and they inturn referes to their basis to inform thier members
“What happend was an hatchet job one or two people sat somewhere to embrass us and we have been vindicated. we are not going to name names but we have known the source of the story, one of the staff who was asked to leave because he was politically overenthusiastic is behind this
“In the past four years the state govt have undertaking the financial expenditure of BCOS despite the situation in the country we have reached a number of milestone due to government intervention”.
“Govt give us N27m every moth and the money is paid on time because we have a rather big house our staff strength is 389. we needed to supplement from our IGR , we supplement it with N14m every month”
“Apart paying staff salaries
every month spent about 14m on diesel on our stations including the ones in Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun , we are working on how to ameliorate diesel consumption so that we have more money to our staffs and take care of their welface.”
