Engr Raufu Aderemi Olaniyan, has called on Muslim brothers and Sisters in Oyo state to use this period of the Ramadan fast to get closer to Allah and embrace the teachings of his holy prophet Mohammed (SWT).
This was contained in a news release made available to the media yesterday in Ibadan.

He noted that we should use the Ramadan days to pray for peace and prosperity of not only Oyo state, but the country.

He urged true adherents of the Islamic faith to pray for our leaders in very strata of governance and leadership, stressing that once our leaders are well and at peace with Allah, the benefits of such harmonious relationship between man and his creator will manifest in the society.

He enjoined all to not only pray for those who are having financial difficulties in meeting the minimum requirements of this Ramadan season, but to also lend a helping hand when they are able, for he said such is pleasing and acceptable in the sight of Allah and his prophet.

He admonish members of the All Progressive Congress and Nigeria to use this holy month to pray for the speedy recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, and to intercede for our amiable Governor in Oyo state, Senator Isiaka Ajimobi, that Allah will continue to guide and lead him aright.

Engr. Olaniyan prayed that by the mercies and benevolence of Allah who has graciously given us the opportunity to witness the beginning of this year’s fast, he will protect and keep us till the end and beyond.
