Oyo State Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Monday charged Muslim faithful in Oyo State and Nigeria to work and pray for the progress of the state and the country.

The governor-elect gave the charge in a release signed by his spokesman, Prince Dotun Oyelade made available to journalists in Ibadan

He emphasized that the unabated kidnapping, insecurity and rising unemployment in the country deserve our collective efforts to salvage the country from the precipice of virtual peril.

According to the governor-elect, ” hard work and prayers are the only way out of this untold dilemma in which we have found ourselves.”
