The Chief Medical Director of Mainspring Hospital, located in the High School area of Ogbomoso, Dr Sunday Oladipo Oladeji, is dead.
He was 46 years old.
Dr Oladeji reportedly passed away in the early hours of Thursday after suddenly developing an illness.
Sources close to the family disclosed that the medical practitioner died around 3 a.m. while speaking with his wife in their room.
A source told Ogbomoso Insight that the late doctor had attended to patients on Wednesday but later complained of fatigue and was advised to rest.
“He attended to patients yesterday, but at a point he complained of weariness and we asked him to rest. We also carried out several tests on him and the results showed that everything was normal. There was no issue with his blood pressure and he appeared perfectly well according to the tests,” the source said.
His remains have since been deposited at the mortuary of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Dr Oladeji founded Mainspring Hospital about nine years ago after working for several years at Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
He is survived by his wife, children and aged parents.
