Renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, has passed away following a brief illness.
A reliable source confirmed to National Insight that the respected cleric succumbed to death after battling an illness for few days.
“Baba has been sick for some days now. Even when we visited him a few days ago, we kept praying for his recovery. It is, however, the will of Almighty Allah,” the source revealed.
The news of his demise was further confirmed by another prominent Islamic preacher, Alhaji Akeugbagold, who expressed deep grief on his Facebook page. He wrote:
“Today is one of my saddest days! My father and mentor has returned to his Creator. SULTONUL WAHIZEEN of Yorubaland, Sheikh Muhyideen Ajani Bello, may Allah be pleased with your soul. Aljannah Firdaus for you. Our hearts are full of grief, and our eyes are full of tears, but we will say nothing except what pleases our Creator, the sole commander of life and death – ALLAH.”
Sheikh Bello was widely respected across Yorubaland and beyond for his teachings, mentorship, and dedication to the Islamic faith. His death marks a significant loss to the Muslim community. May Allah grant him eternal rest.
