Oyo Police Recovers 10,000 Live Catridges, Arrest 4 Ileagal Ammunition Dealers in Ibadan

The Oyo state Police today paraded 4  unauthorized  Arm dealers and recovers the total of 10,000 Live Catridges from them.

The PoliceCommissioner  SP Shina Taiwo Olukolu while parading suspected criminals at the State Headquarter Eleyele Ibadan on Thursday explained that about 2 o’clock on the 23rd of July 2019, the command got information from members of Special Anti – Robbery (SARS) about some notorious hoodlums who specializes in supplying arms and Ammunition to different armed robbery syndicates in terrorizing members of the public within and outside ibadan metropolis and other part of Oyo state at Okebola Area of Ibadan.

The 4 suspects named Adekunle Abimbola, Mukaila Ariyo, Ade Adebayo, and Abel Ọjọ́ were arrested with the exhibits of 10,000 Catridges, an unregistered Toyota Sienna LE Mini Bus and a Toyota Camry with registration number Lagos GGE 979 FT.

 

Ring leaders of the Hoodlums, Abel Ojo, 54 while talking to newsmen confessed that he started the illegal job a year ago adding that he imported the bullets illegally and sell to identifiable hunters.

 

CP Shina Olukolu further advised the entire citizenry of Oyo state to be weiry of unregistered Okada riders who carries more than one passenger early in the morning and late in the night especially during the Eid l Kabir (Ileya) festive celebration which is a prone season to high crime rate.

He further endeavour the masses to continue in partnership with the police to help the force in performing their constitutional responsibility adequately.

Other suspected criminals arrested and paraded bothers around Arm Robbery, Burgling, Stealing, And Fraud.
