The leadership and members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, have paid a condolence visit to the family of the late BCOS newscaster, Mrs. Bukola Akintade, at their residence in Olodo, Ibadan.

Mrs. Akintade, a dedicated broadcaster with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) and former Treasurer of the NUJ BCOS Chapel, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026.

The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Akeem Abas, offered words of comfort to the bereaved husband, Pastor Femi Akintade, and other members of the family. The NUJ Chairman also signed the condolence register during the visit.

The NUJ Chairman, Mr. Akeem Abas, described the late Mrs. Akintade as a committed journalist whose contributions to the profession and the union would not be forgotten in a hurry. He noted that her dedication to duty and service to humanity stood her out among her peers.
