The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for primaries and the cost of nomination forms for aspirants.
In a document issued by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the APC said the schedule aligns with provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and guidelines by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the timetable, the notice of election to state chapters takes effect from April 20, 2026, while the sale of nomination forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026.
The party fixed May 4, 2026, as the deadline for submission of completed forms.
Screening of aspirants for all elective positions—State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential—will take place between May 6 and May 8, while the publication of screening results is scheduled for May 11. Appeals arising from the screening process will be handled between May 12 and May 13.
The APC primaries are set to begin with the presidential primary from May 15 to May 16, followed by the House of Representatives on May 18, Senate on May 20, State Houses of Assembly on May 21, and governorship primaries on May 23.
Appeals for the various primaries will be conducted between May 18 and May 25, depending on the category of election.
The party also announced the cost of its nomination forms. Aspirants for State House of Assembly seats are to pay ₦6 million, while those contesting for the House of Representatives will pay ₦10 million. Senate aspirants are expected to pay ₦20 million, governorship hopefuls ₦50 million, and presidential aspirants ₦100 million.
However, the APC noted that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will receive concessions, paying only for the expression of interest forms and 50 percent of the nomination fees.
The timetable was signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
The release of the schedule signals the formal commencement of internal party processes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
