The management of Crown Football Club, Ogbomoso has hailed Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE on his inauguration for 2nd term in office.
General manager of the club, Mr. Kunle Oyeleye, in a release he personally signed, noted the governor deserves celebration in view of what he described as his milestone achievement and remarkable performance “during Omituntun 1.0.”
Oyeleye said, “We celebrate our father and financier, Governor Seyi Makinde on his inauguration for another 4 years as Executive Governor of Oyo state.
“As helmsman, he brought so much succour, trust, happiness and hope to the people and the state in general so much that he has become the most relevant helmsman in Nigeria.
“I recall that during his 2nd anniversary I remarked ‘Under his wise reign, our story has changed from hopelessness to hopefulness, poverty to prosperity and corruption to sincerity. We highly appreciate him because his government has intervened positively in all facets of the state.’
“I never knew that was a tip of the iceberg, at the conclusion of the Omituntun 1.0 yesterday l have lost counts of his wonderful touches in the state, that’s why he deserves to be celebrated and the people are to be congratulated for having him again as our governor.”
Stressing Makinde is making lots of sacrifices on personal level to the state, Oyeleye noted he was able to demonstrate this “having conquered selfish tendencies as exemplified in his asset declaration. With the loss he recorded in his private and business life, it means those resources had been invested in the business of the state and we are more than thankful to our God for blessing us with such a gem.
“Your Excellency, great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness. Your sacrifice and selflessness are well noted. Through this, you have changed the history and system beautifully in Oyo state.
“Just as the power of the rolled stone didn’t prevent Christ’s resurrection, paucity of funds has not prevented your many incredible achievements as recorded. You are a statesman and a rare reformer. You are the Emmanuel of this state, your wisdom and power shall never be revealed to the wicked ones.
“I again recall another portion of my message during your second anniversary when I wrote, ‘Your style of governance has rekindled our hope for greater Oyo state…your name has been etched in gold by immortalizing yourself with great achievements surpassing every known standard beforehand. Despite the lean resources in the country, you continue to raise the bar of governance to the amazement of all and sundry; from economy to infrastructure, agriculture, trade and commerce, sports and general administration, you have done incredibly well. You keep marching on where others are busy complaining of lean resources.
“Your prompt payment of salaries, pensions , bailouts, gratuities is second to none. We are convinced our state and future is in the hand of the man that follows God’s lead.’ It is no surprise you went ahead to do more.”
Assuring the re-engineering of the state would continue under Omituntun 2:0, he stated, “On this note I want to specially and importantly congratulate all of us in the state because we didn’t allow political mirage to take away our destines during the electioneering process for it would have been painfully regretted, we pray the state shall continue to flourish beyond our imagination under Omituntun 2.0 .
“It is our prayers that under Omituntun 2.0 God shall grant him more energy, verve, vigour, peace of mind, perfect health and enhanced finances to turn our state to a developed one and witness further tremendous accomplishment.”
