Ologburo Rallies Support for New Alaafin, Oba Akeem Owoade, Hails Gov. Makinde

A community leader, Omooba Babatunde Ologburo has congratulated the new Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade on his appointment and presentation of staff of office and certificate.

In a statement made available on Monday, Ologburo stated that the emergence of Oba Owoade is a testament to the grace and benevolence God in his life.

The Oyo born international business tycoon lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for heeding to the calls of Oyo Indigenes on the need to conclude the process of getting the people a new king.

“‘I extend the warmest congratulations of my family and I to our revered monarch on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers, the ancient and revered throne of Alaafin and paramount ruler of Oyo town.

“I have no doubt he will use his indepth experience for the development of Oyo town.

“I’m confident that his leadership will bring peace, unity, and progress to the people and the kingdom.

“I commend our amiable Governor, Seyi Makinde for the proactive steps taken to conclude the process which started almost two years ago.”

Chief Ologburo therefore enjoined all sons and daughters of Oyo to cooperate with the new monarch to actualize the growth and development we all desired.
