Lead City University has celebrated one of its distinguished alumni, Oba James Babatunde Ajiboye, on his ascension to the throne as the new Elemure of Emure Ekiti.
He succeeded Oba Emmanuel Adebayo, a retired Commissioner of Police, who joined his ancestors on May 30, 2024.
Oba Ajiboye, a graduate of the institution’s Guidance and Counselling Unit in the Faculty of Education, earned a Second Class Upper Division Bachelor of Education degree in 2018. Notably the oldest in his class, he stood out for his productivity, versatility, and strong commitment to excellence throughout his academic journey.
The university described his emergence as a first-class monarch as a testament to the transformative power of education, character, and leadership, noting that his achievements continue to inspire both staff and students.
His elevation, according to the institution, reflects the values of discipline and service instilled in its graduates, as he now assumes traditional leadership responsibilities in Emure Ekiti.
The university community congratulated the Faculty of Education and the entire institution on the milestone, while also extending warm felicitations to Oba Ajiboye on his well-deserved ascension.
