Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle , a closest aide to Late Lamidi Adesina, former governor of Oyo state is set to slug it out with Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the executive Governor of Oyo state over Oyo South South Senatorial distict ticket
Ibikunle an APC chieftain was inaugurated last week as the chairman of the Nigeria Lottery Regulatory Commission.
He told insideoyo.com that he is the best man to represent the district from 2019, adding that his ambition is divine.
The lawmaker representing the district,Senator Rildwan Adesoji Akanbi is aiming the governorship seat currently occupied by Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
Few weeks ago, Ajimobi’s Executive Assistant on Political matters, Barrister Morohunkola Thomas decalared the governor’s interest in returning to the Senate after his tenure as governor in 2019.
Some loyalists of governor Ajimobi have started campaigning for his Senatorial Ambition.
It would be recall that Senator Ajimobi was at the Upper chamber of the National Assembly between 2003- 2007 .
