Former commissioner for Works and transport in Oyo state,Professor Abdulrahaman Raphael Afonja has offered bursary award to 240 Indigent students in Ogbomoso.
The Ogbomoso born scholar and politician said the gesture is to relief the Indigent students of financial burden in their academic pursuit.
Afonja, a peoples Democratic party PDP Chieftain told National Insight that. ” We have collected their details and we will disburse the fund soon”
He announced the bursary award at their annual general meeting in Ogbomoso.
The Global Alumni president, Solomon Onilede lauds Professor Afonja for supporting the students and urge him not to relent in his contributions to the advancements of the less privileged people and the society at large.
