2 Dead, 6 Injured in Auto Crash Along Oyo-Ogbomoso Road

Two people have been confirmed dead and six others injured in a lone auto crash that occurred on Friday morning along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road.

Eyewitnesses told National Insight that the accident involved a commercial Nissan car which reportedly ran into rocks placed as barricades by a construction company near the Ipeba area.

The crash, which happened around 7:00 a.m., claimed the lives of the driver and a female passenger whose identity was yet to be confirmed at the time of filing this report.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) from the Oolo Unit responded promptly to the emergency. The injured victims were taken to Bowen University Teaching Hospital for medical attention, while the remains of the deceased, including the driver, were deposited at the morgue of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital.
