The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State governorship election, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has declared his support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 2027 presidential election.
Oluyede according to a statement signed by Olayinka Oyebode,Special Adviser (Media) Gov Oyebanji disclosed his decision when he paid a visit to the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Thursday evening.
During the meeting, Oluyede briefed the governor on his decision to work for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election, signalling his commitment to supporting the President’s bid for a second term.
The two leaders also discussed issues relating to the development and progress of Ekiti State under the administration of Governor Oyebanji, particularly as preparations continue for his second term, which is billed to commence on October 16.
Governor Oyebanji thanked Oluyede for what he described as his statesmanship and demonstrated commitment to the progress of Ekiti State and national development.
The meeting underscores the growing emphasis on unity and collaboration among political stakeholders in advancing the interests of Ekiti State and Nigeria.
