Col Adenike Akerele (Rtd) Bags South West Nigeria Excellent Heroes Award

The first female Officer to attain d rank of Colonel in the history of Ibadanland and Oyo state, Col (Chief Mrs) Adenike Akerele was among the eminent personality that won this Year South West Nigeria Excellent Heroes Award

The prestigious Southwest Nigeria Excellent Heroes Award was held at the Obafemi Awolowo University Conference Centre on  26/11/2020.

She was recognized for her contributions to the development of the society and how her life positively influenced the younger generation

Other honorees from Oyo state include Dr Azeez Adeduntan, (Osi Bashorun of Ibadanland) and a former Oyo State Commissioner for health, Mrs Dolapo Dosumu, Director, Oyo State NOA , etc as well as some University Don from other State in the South west.

Col (Chief Mrs) Adenike Akerele (Rtd.) is Yeye Ajagunye of Iseyinland , Yeye Akogun Atikori land, Ijebu Igbo.

She also received honour as the Life Matron Celestial Church of Christ, Navy town Parish, Lagos.

She was represented at the event by Asiwaju Nurudeen Akinade, who received the awards on her behalf and deliver her Goodwill messaged where she call for more patriotism and commitment to Nigerian project
