Flight Lieutenant Pereowei Jacob one of the pilot who died on the 2nd of January in a military plane crash in Borno died 24 Days after his marriage

The Bayelsa born Airforce Officer, Popularly known as Perrekuzeh got married  to Diepreye Inokoba,a graduate of Niger Delta University who hails from kpansia in Bayelsa state on the 8th of December, 2018

The accident happened while the Russian-made Mi-35M helicopter was being used in combat to provide air support to troops of 145 Battalion, against the ragtag Boko Haram fighters.

Flt. Lt Pereowei Jacob who was the Chief pilot died alongside with his co-pilot Kaltho Paul Kilyofas and othera including Sergeant Auwal Ibrahim, a Flight Technician, two gunners Lance Corporal Adamu Nura and Aircraftman Meshack Ishmael.

Some of his friends described the late Flight Lieutenant Jacob as a friendly officer whose hobby is to make people happy

‘ My heart bleeds,Flight lieutenant Pereowei Jacob u left us just like DAT,u know u always make me laugh even when am sad,ur like a brother,A Hero,I was so happy about your marriage last month December, u died while serving ur country,may God give ur Wife,Mom & Siblings d fortitude to bear dis great loss,RIP Owei,Nigeria Navy Barracks Borokiri will miss u.” said lilian Ogbu
