.People With Disability Presidential Campaign Council, PWD PCC, held a town hall meeting in Ibadan with people with disability as part of efforts to ensure the success of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.
The event tagged “People With Disability And Leadership Recruitment In Nigeria: Need To Elect the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.
The National Coordinator, PWD PCC, Mrs Angelina Ugben, said Atiku Abubakar’s administration when elected comes with numerous opportunities for persons with disability hence the need for the PWD to vote enmass come March 25 for all PDP Candidates.
She added that the PDP Presidential candidate recognises the strength in the number of PWDs in Nigeria, the Director, PWD PCC, Hon. Solihu Usman, charged the special group of people to play active role in the election of Atiku Abubakar.
Charging his fellow special need people to leverage on the strength of their population, the PWD PCC Deputy National Coordinator, South, Dr. Chidi Olujie, said all efforts must be put in place to replace the present political party at the helms of affairs in the presidency.
Expressing their views, the Lagos State PWD PCC Visuals Coordinator, Mrs. Amudat Balogun among other participants said the task for electing Atiku-Okowa must be a success and this can only be achieved by canvassing and voting at ward level.
Attendance of People With Disability was drawn from the six southwest states of the federation.
