Fuji music icon, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, on Thursday paid a courtesy visit to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ajibola Basiru, in Abuja.
The visit took place ahead of the APC National Summit, which is scheduled to hold today at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock.
K1, who was accompanied by members of his crew, was warmly received by Dr. Basiru. The meeting, held in a convivial atmosphere, served as a moment of cultural connection and political solidarity, as both men discussed issues of national development, party unity, and the role of the arts in nation-building.
The Fuji maestro, who has long been associated with progressive political ideals, expressed his admiration for the APC’s leadership and reiterated his support for efforts aimed at unifying the country and promoting good governance.
Dr. Basiru, in his remarks, thanked K1 for the visit, acknowledging the singer’s influence in using music as a tool for social cohesion and political awareness. He described K1 as a cultural ambassador whose presence at the summit will add a unique touch to the event.
The APC National Summit is expected to attract top government officials, party leaders, and stakeholders from across the country, as the ruling party charts a course for its future direction.
