The Zonal Commandant of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, which comprises Oorelope,Irepo, and Olorunsogo, axis Alhaji Azeez Agoro, has sent out a strong warning to the youths in the area to desist from engaging in criminal activity,as anyone caught in engaging in such will be dealt with according to the law.
The warning was given during the weekly meeting of the group.Agoro said security agencies has been given the mandate to flush out criminals from the various communities in Oke-Ogun.And we know that mostly youths are involved in crime.
That is the reason we sounding this warning to every youth in the area not to engage themselves in any criminal activities that can tarnish the image of their families and also send them to jail.
Parents should warn their children on the kind of friends they keep,so that they won’t put them in trouble. As Sallah is approaching a lot of criminal activities will be on the increase. So want people to be security conscious and inform security agencies of any suspicious movement around them.
We can not lie low and allow criminals to continue having a field day,no it will not happen again. If anyone is caught he/she will be made to face the full wrath of the law. This is not a joke, but a serious warning and want everyone to take it the way it is.
A lot of sensitisation and orientation tips has gone out to the various community in Oke-Ogun,on how to help security agencies to fight crime.
We (VGN)been doing our best in fighting crime but the bulk of the whole thing stops on the table of the people in the community.
