
As part of activities marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, Royal Diamond Events Centre, in collaboration with the Oyo State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Education, has announced plans to host the Children’s Leadership and Cultural Summit 2026.
According to a statement signed by the Project Coordinator/ Team Lead of Royal Children’s Day 2026, Pastor Akinola Fatoyinbo( Dr Diamond) the summit is aimed at promoting leadership values, cultural awareness, and educational development among children and youths in Oyo State.
The event, themed “Raising Future Leaders: Education, Culture & Innovation,” is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Royal Diamond Events Centre, Oke-Apo, Oyo Town.
The programme is expected to bring together students, educators, cultural enthusiasts, and stakeholders in the education sector for interactive sessions focused on leadership development, cultural heritage, and youth empowerment.
The Vice Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Prof. Ebunoluwa Olufemi Oduwole is billed to deliver the keynote address at the summit.
Other distinguished personalities expected at the event include the Guest Speaker, Engr. T. G. Fawole, Dean, Faculty of Engineering; and the Royal Mother of the Day, Ayaba Abiwumi Owoade.
Also listed are the Special Guest of Honour, Engr. Femi Babalola (CEO,Jogor Centre Ibadan); and the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Oyo State, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun.
The summit will also feature the presence of Senator Yunus Akintunde, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi member, House of Representatives,Hon.Olorunpoto Cephas, Oyo state House of Assembly member alongside the wives of the Chairmen of Atiba, Afijio, Oyo West, and Oyo East Local Government Areas, who will serve as co-hosts.
Organisers also disclosed that the summit will feature motivational talks, cultural presentations, and interactive sessions designed to encourage children to embrace positive values, showcase their talents, and appreciate Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity.
In addition, attractive incentives have been lined up for participants, including opportunities to win free lands courtesy of Design Bricks Homes & Properties Ltd, alongside free food, snacks, and other engagement-based rewards during the programme.
High-level security arrangements and child-friendly facilitation measures are also expected to be in place to ensure a safe and well-organised event.
Several organisations and partners are supporting the initiative as part of broader efforts to contribute to child development and cultural promotion in the state.
The organisers have therefore urged schools, parents, and guardians to encourage active participation, describing the summit as an avenue for learning, networking, and inspiration for the next generation of leaders.
