Hon. Ogundoyin won the seat after a nomination was made by Hon. Adebayo Olajide representing Ibadan North 2 constituency and the motion was seconded by Hon. Adeola Bamidele from Iseyin/Itesiwaju local government.
Adebo Ogundoyin was elected on a bye Election held to fill the vacant seat of The late Honourable Michael Adeyemo in the 8th Assembly
