Former Nigerian Ambassador to Philippines and elder stateman, Dr Yemi Farounbi and other stakeholders at a said Nigeria needs a young vibrant, and intelligent person to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari as President in 2023
The stakeholders including former deputy governor of oyo state, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun, Abiodun Aluko, DG Dawn Commission Seye Oyeleye among others at the launch of The Nigeria Agenda in Ibadan on Tuesday
The programm with the theme “A secured Nigeria is possible, just keep faith” which was held at the international conference Centre University of Ibadan had in atttendance eminent personalities from all walks of lives across the country.
Dr. Farounbi said Nigerians problem can only be solved byv Nigerians by eleccting a responsible, young, vibrant and articulate leader who understand the problems and can proffer solution
The Director Generalv Nigerian Prosperity Movement Hon Ahmed Sajo in his short presentation urged Nigerians to key into The Nigeria Agenda as he posit it is the encapsulate solution to Nigerians problem.
Also Dr Seye Oyeleye, The DG DAWN commission in his paper said Nigeria’s present and future needs to be determined by the will of the people.
” The country is currently being run against the will of the people, as the constitution serving as the social contract of the country is illegitimate without any input from Nigerians.
Addressing Nigeria’s constitutional deficiency is the first step to addressing the national question and consequently pursuing the Nigeria Agenda. All other efforts aimed at
solving our challenges are tantamount to putting the horse before the cart.
“The structural and systemic inefficiencies would continue to stall progress and breed disunity. For one to achieve one’s destiny, one must know thyself. A country knows itself when it recognizes its history, when it acknowledges its diversity and when it knows what its constitution is”
Other stakeholders including representatives of Dr Tunde Adeniran, Mrs Lola Fagbemi, and others advised that Nigeria can only be a better place if we all unite and elect a young vibrant and responsible leader
Other participants at the events inudes, Chief of staff to Ekiti state Governor, Federal lawmakers , Council chairmen and commissioners from south west state and other notable personalities.
