The People’s Democratic Party PDP Candidate in Oyo North Senatorial District, Hon Akinwale Solomon Akinwole commended the people of Ogbomoso and Oke Ogun who voted for him in the last election.

Wolekanle as he is fondly called participated in the election for the first time and garnered over 78,000 votes.

He commended loyal party members and the general public for the maximum support and votes urging them to extend the same to Governor Seyi Makinde to ensure his re-election on March 11.

“As a first timer in the race with the efforts of the governor, party leaders, members, and other good people of Oyo state to ensure our people are liberated from the shackles of the oppressors but it didn’t work as planned because the manipulators hid under Yoruba agenda and other factors to lure genuine people with good intentions to change the narratives

“There is no course for alarm as we are
are already studying the results from various units and wards, especially those places where we notice manipulations and electoral fraud.

While calling for calm, Wolekanle urged people to mobilize massively to ensure the re-election of Governor Oluseyi Makinde and candidates of House of Assembly members in their respective constituencies.

” I know you are pained by the development but don’t let that dampen your morale, let us continue to mobilize and work for the re-election of Engineer Oluseyi Makinde and his Deputy Barr. Bayo Lawal for continuity of good governance and advancements.”
