The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole (Wolekanle), has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for swiftly responding to the concerns of workers at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, as well as approving the rehabilitation and reconstruction of key roads in the ancient city.
Governor Makinde, who was in Ogbomoso on Tuesday, met with the workers of the teaching hospital to address pressing issues affecting the institution. During the engagement, the governor assured staff of his administration’s commitment to their welfare while outlining steps being taken to reposition the health sector in the state.
Wolekanle described the governor’s intervention as a demonstration of his inclusive style of governance. He noted that the rehabilitation of Ogbomoso’s inner roads would ease movement, boost commerce, and further open up the city for development.
According to him, “Governor Makinde has once again shown that he listens to the people and acts in their best interest. His visit to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital to personally engage workers and his approval of major road projects in Ogbomoso underscore his passion for equity and development across the state.”
