Radio Nigeria Names Ace Mall CEO, Yinka Afonja, Business Mogul of the Year

Prince Adeyinka Afonja, the visionary Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ace Mall, has been honored with the prestigious Business Mogul of the Year award by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) South West, popularly known as Radio Nigeria.

The award was presented on Tuesday, during a live interactive program at Premier 93.5 FM’s Dugbe, Ibadan studio.

The session was skillfully hosted by the talented duo of Emperor Imoyosola Adetoro (JP) and Mrs. Funmilayo Ilesanmi.

Expressing profound gratitude, Prince Afonja conveyed his appreciation to the entire team and management of Radio Nigeria South West for this special recognition.

He emphasized that the honor serves as a powerful catalyst to redouble his efforts and commitment.

“It means a lot when your activities become recognized by society, especially by a prestigious media organization as Radio Nigeria,” Afonja stated.

He added that, “I can boldly say that this is one of my best awards. It’s almost feeling like I received a national award.”

Presenting the award, Mr. Dominic Mokikan, the Zonal Director of FRCN Ibadan South-West Network, lauded Afonja, describing the award as “well-deserved.”

Mokikan highlighted Afonja’s immense contributions to societal development and humanity through job creation and exemplary corporate social responsibility initiatives.

This significant award celebrates Afonja’s remarkable and consistent successes in the business landscape.

Beyond his corporate social responsibilities, which positively impact lives, Afonja has also contributed immensely to communities, educational institutions, and society at large through his numerous philanthropic gestures, creating a Midas touch in all human endeavors.”

He has masterfully built Ace Mall conglomerate from its humble beginnings into an enviable retail powerhouse with 13 thriving branches across South West and part of North Central region of Nigeria, and still expanding.

His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication have not only fostered economic growth but have also created countless opportunities for individuals and communities alike.

Not only has Afonja inspired young entrepreneurs to build their brands, but he has also been a mentor and benefactor to many emerging business owners.
