Engineer Olasunkanmi Tegbe , a gubernatorial aspirant in all Progressives Congress in Oyo has said his decision to withdrew from the race was taken in the best interest of our progressive party and its leadership; to promote oneness and unity of our great party.
The financial expert was among the six aspirant that withdrew their aspirations to contest the party primary,
Tegbe who was until Sunday morning the leading candidate was said to have stand down after a nocturnal meeting with Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Executive Governor of the state and other stakeholders.
In a statement personally signed copy of which was obtained by National Insight, Tegbe appreciates party leaders across the state for their support and pledge his unalloyed loyalty to the party “I pledge my support to fulfilling our party’s great vision for Oyo State.”

“..I AM TRULY HONOURED…” – OLASUNKANMI TEGBE
Dear comrades, avid supporters and faithful members of our great party – the All Progressives Congress (APC), with all sense of responsibility and respect, I withdrew from the Oyo State APC 2019 Gubernatorial primary election held yesterday.
After various consultations with our party leaders, this tough decision was taken in the best interest of our progressive party and its leadership; to promote oneness and unity of our great party.
I am truly honoured to have embarked on such a remarkable journey with you all. Our tours of the wards and local governments have stoked my faith in our great State, and I am confident that our message of consolidation and sustainable development will live on to #MakeOyoFirstAgain.
I pledge my support to fulfilling our party’s great vision for Oyo State.
