A group of Kannywood actors and supporters under the platform of the Prayer Committee for Tinubu Supporting Film Association, also known as Triple R Kannywood For Hope Renewed, has announced plans to recite 1,101 copies of the Qur’an to seek divine support for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
The group made this known during its 111th special prayer session organised to pray for the continuation of the Tinubu/Kashim administration beyond 2027.
The event, which reportedly featured worship sessions and prayers, was attended by members of the association who offered special supplications for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and the APC-led government.
According to a report by Dokin Karfe TV, the committee said the planned Qur’anic recitations were aimed at seeking peace, progress and electoral victory for the ruling party in the next presidential election.
Speaking during the gathering, the leader of the committee said the initiative was intended to ask for Allah’s guidance and support for the APC administration at all levels of government.
“The purpose of this Qur’anic recitation is to pray to Allah the Almighty to sustain this APC government from top to bottom,” the committee leader stated.
The group also expressed optimism that the prayers would contribute to national stability and development under the current administration.
