The Executive Governor of Oyo State,, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has further reiterated the support of his government to the promotion bid of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
Addressing the players in the dressing room, during the half time break of the team’s matchday five fixture against visiting Ekiti United on Sunday, GSM, as he is fondly called, appreciated the efforts of the players so far, expressing his satisfaction with their performance.
The governor, while calming the players before the second half of the game resumed, told them to take it easy, expressing confidence in their ability to deliver.
“I am happy with your performnace, I know you are anxious to score, just take it easy, the goals will come”, he said.
Governor Makinde, urged the players and their officials not to relent but keep fighting to achieve the ultimate goal, which is promotion to the elite league.
“By next season, I am sure we will be playing in the topflight, I want to encourage you to keep fighting and on our part, we will give you all the necessary support to achieve this, welldone”.
The governor also addressed the crowd briefly, commending them for their support so far, even as he craved for more from them, assuring that they will be watching matches in thw topflight as from next season.
