A frontline chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo state, Chief Wale Ohu has commended the Deputy Governor of Oyo state Engr. Rauf Olaniyan for finally taking the bold step of ditching the failed Engr. Seyi Makinde led People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state and pitched his tent with the All Progressives Congress.
Chief Wale Ohu, a political strategist who played a very critical role in creating a new political habitat for the Oyo Deputy Governor during his last days in the ill fated Seyi Makinde led Oyo PDP said this while fielding questions from Journalists at the ongoing Special National Convention of the party presently taking place at the Eagle square, Abuja.
He said, as a forerunner in the scheme of things that eventually culminated in the mother of all defections in the political firmament of Oyo state, I make bold to say that the days of PDP at the helm of affairs in Oyo state is getting to an end.
The leader of our party, President Muhammadu Buhari knows the political worth of Oyo state hence the determination of the leadership of the party to ensure Oyo state is back into its fold.
During the days leading to the final defection of Engr. Olaniyan, we held meetings with the party leadership where he was charged to give his unwavering support to the party.
This and many more are the mandate handed over to the deputy Governor by the leadership of the party.
He described the final defection of Engr. Olaniyan as history making in the Political anals of Oyo state.
According to him, Oyo state is witnessing a new dawn in the Political history of the state.
Engr. Rauf Olaniyan has written his name in gold by refusing to be part of the ill fated Seyi Makinde government which is being run with sheer arrogance and impunity.
History will forever be kind to Engr. Rauf Olaniyan for speaking out in the face of persecution and threat to his political existence in Oyo state.

You are expected to hit the ground running most especially at this critical point of electioneering and transition period.
