In a significant loss to the Nigerian film industry, veteran Nollywood actor Chief Alhaji Mudashir Ayobami Olabiyi, popularly known as Bobo B, has passed away.
The General Secretary of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) reportedly died today in Ibadan, Oyo State, following a brief illness.
The news of his death was shared on social media by his colleague, Adewale Digboluja, who expressed his sorrow in a heartfelt post: “I ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF OUR TAMPAN NATIONAL GENERAL SECRETARY, CHIEF ALHAJI MUDASHIR AYOBAMI OLABIYI ‘BOBO B’. MAY GOD GIVE HIS FAMILY AND THE ENTIRE TAMPAN MEMBERS GLOBALLY THE FORTITUDE TO BEAR THE LOSS, INSHALLAH, AMEN.”
Bobo B was a respected figure in the Nollywood community and had previously served as the governor of TAMPAN.
Reports indicate that he was unable to attend a scheduled movie shoot in Oyo last month due to declining health. He was receiving treatment at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where he ultimately succumbed to his illness.
His passing marks a profound loss for fans and colleagues alike, who are mourning the departure of a cherished and influential member of the entertainment industry.
