Ijaye is one of the ancient kingdom in Yorubaland, it was a short lived kingdom with an historical relevance to yoruba community.
Being an agrarian community in Akinyele local government area of Oyo state, the community has been enjoying great deal of neglect by the government
They have been having in darkness for over 10 years and they lack basic amenities
Some resident of the community who spoke with our reporter who visited the site said” We have been in darkness for more than 10 years, we do have it before but we have long been disconnected.
One of the resident who identify himself as Sola said the electricity distribution company are not doing anything about our plight and all efforts have been abortive
