THE University of Ibadan has appointed Dr Senayon Olaoluwa at the acting director of the Institute of African Studies effective from August 1.
Dr Olaoluwa, who is the coordinator of the Institute’s Diaspora and Transnational Studies programme, takes over from Dr Ismael Jimoh.
In a statement by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka, the appointment followed the highly-successful and impactful stint of the immediate past office-holder.
Dr Olaoluwa’s appointment was announced with that of the provost, College of Medicine, Professor Olayinka Omigbodun, alongside other Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments.
