The Director General and Global Liaison, Nigeria China Strategic Partnership (NCSP) Olasunkanmi Tegbe, FCA, FCTI, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Prince Hammed Adeyemi, son of the late Alaafin of Oyo, describing him as a committed nation-builder, respected political figure, and a prominent son of the Oyo Kingdom.
In a condolence message, Tegbe said Prince Adeyemi lived a life of service, humility, and dedication to the progress of his people, particularly in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, where he was widely regarded as a grassroots mobiliser and community development advocate.
He noted that the late prince’s contributions to local politics and community advancement would remain a lasting legacy, adding that his influence was felt across political divides due to his leadership qualities and commitment to unity.
“I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Prince Hammed Adeyemi, a distinguished son of the Oyo Kingdom, a committed nation-builder, and a respected political leader, especially in Ibadan North Local Government,” Tegbe said.
He extended condolences to the royal family and the entire Oyo Kingdom, praying for strength for all those mourning the loss.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Adeyemi Royal Family, the good people of the Oyo Kingdom, and his political associates across divides. May Almighty God grant him eternal rest and comfort all who mourn this loss,” he added.
Prince Hammed Adeyemi is remembered for his active role in grassroots engagement and his enduring contributions to community development within the Oyo political landscape.
