President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received players and officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President rewarded each player with national awards (Member of the Order of the Niger, MON), landed properties and flats in tbe Federal Capital Territory.
The award was given, following the team’s success at the just concluded African Cup of Nations at Cote d’Ivoire where Nigeria for the silver medal with the stand in captain, Williams Troost-Ekong awarded as the player of the tournament.
The President commended the players and urged them to remained united in “joy, hope, duty and untiring love.”
The delegation was led by the Minister for Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh.
