The Outgoing National Senate President of the Federation of Oyo State Student Union (FOSSU) comrade Oke Wasiu has urged Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde to extend the gesture given to Oyo state indigenes in law school to students studying other courses especially those who are in the dragnet of academic failure as a result of lack of (sufficient) fund.

He also commended the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for the approval of the payment of N500,000 bursary fund for each Oyo State student in Law School, saying that this is a welcome development and a further indications that the new administration is commited to the resuscitation of the moribund education sector in the state.

Comrade Oke made the commendations on Wednesday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, while reacting to the gesture shown by the state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde towards the welfare of students in Oyo State.

According to him, ‘students who find it difficult to cope with the financial demands of Law School can now enjoy a seamless study.
