The Assembly in a public notice said
ÈṢÙ is a Yorùbá Divinity (Irúnmọlẹ̀/Òrìṣà); and has got nothing to do with Satan of any Abrahamic religion or foreign religious belief system.
“Èṣù is not Satan and our ancestors are neither Christians nor Muslims. Èṣù is the Organiser of Disciplines and Public Order in Yoruba society.”

(2) TELEVISION AND RADIO BROADCASTERS/PRESENTERS,
(3) YORUBA FILM ACTORS, DIRECTORS & PRODUCERS
(4) THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
It has come to our attention that despite all our efforts in Isese Welfare Association (IWA) aka Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Assembly to educate, orientate, enlighten and inform all the adherents of the foreign religions, Yoruba film Actors, Directors, and Producers alike; continue to degrade, denigrate, misinterprete and tarnish the name and image of our Highly Revered ÈṢÙ Láàlù Ẹlẹ́gbára Ọ̀gọ
For avoidance of doubt and purpose of clarification, the Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Welfare Association (IWA) aka Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Assembly wish to state categorically that ÈṢÙ is a Yorùbá Divinity (Irúnmọlẹ̀/Òrìṣà); and has got nothing to do with Satan of any Abrahamic religion or foreign religious belief system. Èṣù is not Satan and our ancestors are neither Christians nor Muslims. Èṣù is the Organiser of Disciplines and Public Order in Yoruba society.
Èṣù is the Maintainer of Àṣẹ; so that there will be balance and alignment in the interaction between Olódùmarè and humanity through the Irúnmọlẹ̀s/Òrìṣàs.
Anyone who seeks Satan should go to church/mosque or Christian/Muslim cleric who will help to find him where he resides in their holy books.
We wish to inform all concerned to henceforth desist from linking Èṣù to Satan or anything evil. Additionally, derogatory statements as: “Kí Ọlọ́run bá Èṣù wí”, “Iṣẹ́ Èṣù ni” must STOP!
How will any foreign religion adherent feel, if we start to chant: “Ki Olodumare ba Jesu/Allah wi”?
Let this serve as a caution to all concerned, as we will resist anyone blaspheming the name of ÈṢÙ LÁÀLÙ and any other Irúnmọlẹ̀/Òrìṣà.
If anyone is ready to know/learn about Èṣù and other Irúnmọlẹ̀s/Òrìṣàs, we advise such person to contact reputable Oníṣẹ̀ṣe (Ìṣẹ̀ṣe Practitioners) who are always ready to educate you.
